Overview
All in-room convenience, facilities and amenities aside, we encourage you to get up-close-and-personal with the timeless nature around Mataking Resort by doing several of thrilling activities; from kayak, bird watching, henna, painting, batik painting for kids and of course, exploring the vast marine kingdom underneath the crystal clear water.
About Package
Package is inclusive of:
i. Return trip of Boat Transfer on the Actual Check-in Date & Actual Check-out Date (Semporna Jetty – Mataking Island – Semporna Jetty). **Sharing boat
**FREE Airport Transfer service on Actual Check-in & Check-out Date if arrival or departure flight schedule can meet the airport pick up time as per Appendix 2 (Land & Boat Transfer Schedule) **Sharing coach
ii. Double/Twin/Triple/Quadruple sharing of accommodation with air-conditioning, fresh water hot shower, and attached bathroom.
iii. Full board meals (3 main meals) at buffet style. Free flow of coffee/tea and light snacks.
iv. For Non-Diver Package – Inclusive of unlimited snorkeling activity at Mataking Island beaches only. Equipment rental is NOT included. It is a free and easy activity around Mataking Island.
Peak Season Surcharge:
5% Peak Season Surcharge is applicable during certain period.
a. Month of July & August 2025: 1st July to 31st August 2025
b. Month of October 2025: 1st – 7th October 2025
c. Chinese New Year 2026: 16th – 25th February 2026
Samporna Tourist Jetty Fee:
All visitors to islands at Semporna region will be subjected to the following tourist ticket fee and is compulsory to comply.
Jetty fee of RM 10 per person per entrance for ALL NATIONALITY
Terms & Conditions
- Above rates apply for a minimum 2 persons and thereafter based on twin/triple/quadruple sharing basis. ONE (1) room must occupy a minimum TWO (2) paying adults, all children are required to share and occupy the same room with parents/adults.
- If a room consists of only ONE (1A) Adult and TWO (2C) Children, the room charges shall be quoted according to TWO (2A) Adults’ and ONE (1C) Child prices.
- NO combination of packages is allowed under the same person (e.g. 2 nights of diver package plus 1 night of non-diver package or etc.).
- Applicable to all room types, both adults and children.
- Non-Diver Package CANNOT be converted to Diver Package (or either way) on check-in day or once the guest has arrived at the island.
- For guest booked under Diver Package, any give-up dive or unutilized dive during stay period is non-refundable / non-transferable.
- Guests (non-diver stay package) with a certified dive license who wish to go for any diving activities will be charged at RM 100.00 per certified diver per dive regardless of check dive, boat dives, shore dives or Sipadan dives – NOT including dive equipment rental. Upon arrival, the guest will be charged RM 100.00 per 2 | P a g e pax for the first orientation/check dive. Every divers will need to carry out a check dive with our resident Divemaster at first before proceeding to the regular dives.
- Diver packages are subjected to our diving schedules and regulations as set by the dive center.
- Any child who is a certified diver shall have to pay full diver rates (adult price) regardless of their age and parents are to be held responsible for their child at all times.
- Single Traveler (Malaysian): Additional 50% surcharge on top of the above package rates for single occupancy applies in a twin sharing room. In any event if there are no other guests to meet the minimum requirement for the land and boat transfers, there will be an additional of RM 250.00 nett per coach way (land transfer) and RM 918.00 nett per boat way (boat transfer).
- Reservation can be made by email (sales@mataking.com) to our Tawau Sales Office (Headquarters Office).
- 30% Deposit / Reservation Fee (non-refundable package fee + jetty fee) has to be paid once an official booking has been confirmed within 7 days.
- The balance or full payment (package fee + jetty fee) must be settled at least 30 days prior to the check-in date. Otherwise, the reservation is subjected to automatic cancellation and will be made available for resale.
- Equipment rental is NOT included in any of the Diver / Non Diver packages. Rental of a full set of dive equipment is at RM 85.00 per certified diver per day and a full set of snorkeling equipment is at RM 30.00 per person per day. Single dive gear is available to be rented and paid in resort upon check-out. Limited sets and subject to availability. *Please refer to Appendix 3 (Dive Centre Price List)
- Upon arrival, guests are required to sign an AFFIRMATION AND LIABILITY RELEASE form for the benefits of all parties.
- Pregnant guests are required to sign a PREGNANCY AFFIRMATION AND LIABILITY RELEASE form before check-in with official medical letter advice from the doctor. Booking for women who are below 3 months / 21 weeks and more than 7 months / 28 weeks pregnant are not acceptable.
- All types of activities being offered by the company on the island, especially dive activities / Sipadan trip / island hopping trips, are subjected to weather conditions / poor visibility and also the diver's own physical status (e.g.: injuries, intoxication, hangovers, etc). Therefore, we reserve the final decision and rights to either proceed or abort any activities / dives for any safety reason.
Payment & Cancellation
- In the event of cancellation, the following cancellation shall applies: Booking confirmation date to 30 days before actual check-in date - 30% of the trip's full price forfeited.
- 29 days to 15 days before actual check-in date – 50% of the trip’s full price forfeited.
- 14 days to 01 day before actual check-in date – 70% of the trip’s full price forfeited.
- NO SHOW of customer on actual check-in date - 100% of the trip's full price forfeited.
